Cheesman Canyon Closed

Yep they are letting the water flow at Cheesman! CFS = 456 below Cheesman Res at 5:00 a.m. Projected flows could reach as high as 1,200 CFS. To protect the public, Cheesman Canyon will be closed to all use Sept 10-13, 2012 due to river flow changes being conducted by Denver Water. DW is doing several tests to the new valve they installed.

 

Don’t be temped to sneak in for a day to yourself on the stream. Violations of these prohibitions are punishable as a Class B misdemeanor, by a fine of not more than $5,000 for an individual or $10,000 for an organization, or imprisonment for not more than 6 months, or both. (16 U.S.C. § 551 and 18 U.S.C. §§ 3559 and 3571).
