Possible 38% Increase to Fishing Equipment
In a surprising and alarming decision, the Obama Administration announced late Friday that it is formally opposing all outdoor industry duty suspension bills.
This has potentially devastating consequences for outdoor manufacturers, suppliers, retailers, and consumers. We need your help to convince Congress and the Administration that these bills are essential to the health of the outdoor industry.
If the Obama Administration’s position is allowed to prevail, prices on many footwear styles would go up by as much as 38% on January 1, 2013. This would compromise the availability of best selling hiking, fishing, and trail running footwear and would have a detrimental impact on the 2013 retail season.
