Trout in the Community The Hatch and The Alevin

We’ve had the hatch of the trout eggs in the Trout in the Community project.   In the video below, you’ll see some young fish in the alevin stage of their growth.  At this stage, the yolk sac is still attached to their bodies and serves as their food source.  Soon, it will be absorbed into the alevin’s body as it moves into the next stage, the fry stage of development.  Come by the shop and check out our Trout in the Community aquarium!  Check out our brief video of the alevin below.
