Coming Together for a Cause

 

Sometimes community means coming together for somebody you have never met.  Dave Bryzcki, cousin of Angler’s guide and staff member Scott Tarrant, is facing the challenge of his life.  Dave experienced what avid outdoorsmen and women face when they head into the backcountry: an encounter that nearly cost him his life.  And we’re holding a drawing for a full-day guide trip to help raise funds to support the financial challenge that Dave and his wife, Lisa, will face.  

 

Dave’s encounter with a grizzly bear east of Dillon, Montana, almost cost him his life in June.  He is currently hospitalized in Seattle; his wife, Lisa, had to move from their Montana home because of the intense care and therapy that Dave will undergo for the next couple of years.  He will need reconstructive surgeries; his hospital care will be lengthy.  

 

How you can help.  The Team at Angler’s Covey has committed to raise funds to help Lisa and Dave meet the incredible costs ahead of them.  One option:  you can become part of the support team by purchasing “Team Dave — Built to Endure” wrist bands for $5.00. 

 

In addition, four of our guides (Steve Gossage, Jon Easdon, Gary “Karbo” Karbousky , and Scott Tarrant) are offering full-day guide trips for one person.  Entries for the drawing are $10.00 and can be purchased at the store.  We have about 10 tickets left for this first round!  The fundraiser will be an on-going event, with drawings offered periodically throughout the year, so ask at the counter for tickets when you’re in the shop.
