CPW Sportsmen's Roundtable

 

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s southeast region invites hunters and anglers to share their ideas and opinions about a variety of wildlife related issues at a Sportsmen’s Roundtable meeting, March 6 in Colorado Springs.

 

The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at the SE Region Office, 4255 Sinton Rd.
 
“Hunters and anglers understand the importance of Colorado’s wildlife, not only to the southeast region, but to the entire state. The health of habitat and wildlife affect all of us,” said SE Region Manager Dan Prenzlow.
 
Elected representatives, along with SE Region leadership and field staff will also attend. The meeting will cover a variety of topics including statewide and regional updates. Roundtable meetings are open to the public.
 
“The public’s voice and input is an important part of our management and we want to hear what our sportsmen and women have to say,” he said. “This roundtable discussion gives us an opportunity to sit down with members of the public and discuss all of the issues the agency is facing.”
 
Sportsmen’s Roundtable meetings are part of an ongoing statewide effort by CPW to ensure that hunters, anglers and everyone who cares about wildlife can provide input and feedback to leaders of the agency.  

 

Colorado Parks and Wildlife depends on feedback and advice from our state’s hunters and anglers to make the best decisions about the management of fish, wildlife, and habitat. In order to discuss issues and gather ideas, CPW convenes a statewide Sportsmen’s Roundtable and regional Sportsmen’s Caucus meetings. The Sportsmen’s Roundtable includes 26 people from around the state with interests in hunting, trapping and fishing. The regional Sportsmen’s Caucuses are open to any local hunter or angler and provides a forum for discussing local and statewide issues. ​
