DESCRIPTION:We have a great line-up of Fly Tying 201 classes for you! Each one will teach you all of the basics\, including equipment needed and proper uses\, materials\, and techniques. You will learn all of this while tying some the more popular patterns used in our region. Each class will focus on a particular category of fly: We will be tying nymphs\, dries\, streamers\, and terrestrials. Take one class or take them all! No matter what you will gain valuable skills and start filling your fly boxes! You will come away with the skill and confidence to tie your own flies \nPrerequisite: Completion of our Fly Tying 101 class\n201 Fly tying class is $40.00 per person\nThis class is offered every other Saturday from October through April \nBe sure to check out our 301 tying classes to keep expanding your fly tying knowledge.

DESCRIPTION:New this season! We are excited to host our friends Fishing the Good Fight here at Anglers Covey for some open fly tying nights. Join us for some fly tying\, great conversation around mental health\, and a dang good time. \nSee what Fishing the Good Fight is all about and connect with like minded individuals focused on improving mental health through fly fishing and the outdoors. All are Welcome! \nMeet other tiers in our fishing community in an open and fun environment. Tying sessions are around 2 hours long. These open tie nights are hosted by one of our Guides or employees. \nThis is not a class\, but an open invitation for all to come tie flies together. No equipment provided\, so you must bring your own vise\, tools\, materials\, etc. However\, all fly tying products will be available for purchase at a 10% discount during the class! \nDue to limited seating\, the spaces will be first come first served. \nKeep you eye out on our calendar for upcoming events all throughout the year!

DESCRIPTION:In this new series of classes\, students will learn the relation to the bugs and the fly patterns that imitate them. How to rig for them and also how to effectively fish them. These classes are designed to bridge the gap between fly patterns and the real thing. This class is taught by professional Fly tyers and Guides Juan Ramirez and Tyler Boroff. These two bring extensive knowledge to the table and will offer a unique view into all of the bugs that inhabit our area and much of the west. The instructors will also teach when\, why and how to fish these patterns. \nThis class series will offer 6 classes. Each class date will cover a different entomology subject. Sign up for one or all 6 classes! \nJanuary 30th- Scuds/Annelids/Mysis/Sowbug/Leeches\n• A break down of what flies we think best match the real insect.\n• On hand conversation on when and how to fish the flies. \nEach class is $100 per person\, or sign up for all 6 for $550.00!
