Where to Go Manitou Park Lake

Manitou Lake is a 5-acre reservoir where the entire family can enjoy fishing and hiking with a trail that runs around the lake. This small reservoir is fed by Trout Creek and has several beaver ponds above the lake. Due to easy area access and popularity, fishing occurs year-round in the reservoir. Picnic sites have tables, fire grates, and trash collection.

The lake is stocked regularly by the Division of Wildlife starting in May and going through August. Here is a link to the Colorado State Parks Stocking Report. Check the Southeast Region.

The area is heavily used during the Summer.

There is a $6 day use fee per vehicle. Elevenmile Canyon Pass ($45) does allow access.

Other Recreation:

The paved Centennial Bike Trail can be accessed from the picnic area and a hiking trail loops around the lake. The trail connects to nearby Painted Rocks, Colorado, and South Meadows Campgrounds.

Manitou Lake is a popular birding area with a diversity of waterfowl and land bird species.
