AboutAlan Begley

Alan grew up on Fish River in Fairhope, Alabama.  He started fishing for crab and flounder in the local Jubilee's on the Eastern Shore when he was 9.  A couple years later Alan caught his first fish on a fly on the Salmon River in Idaho.

He took up fly-fishing more seriously one summer in Estes Park, learning a lot from Alex Boehm.

Alan later raised Coho Salmon in the wilderness for Northern Southeast Regional Aquaculture Association (N.S.R.A.A.) and got hooked on fishing for Chinook Salmon.  Alan can frequently be found fishing the Colorado River, 11 mile Canyon and the Green River when not playing bluegrass with the Red Mountain Boys.  IF you're lucky, Alan will pick a tune for you right on the River !
