Kaitlin has been guiding fly fishing trips across Colorado for over a decade. Born and raised in Colorado, she developed an early passion for the outdoors through time spent fishing with her father, Rick, an avid fly angler.

In addition to guiding, Kaitlin is an accomplished writer and photographer whose work has appeared in publications such as DUN Magazine and Orvis News. She also contributed to The Catch of a Lifetime by New York Times author Peter Kaminsky. Her voice has reached a broader audience through features on NPR’s Here and Now, where she discussed gender disparity in fly fishing, and on Colorado Public Radio alongside renowned author John Gierach, highlighting the pandemic’s impact on the sport.

Since 2020, Kaitlin has served as an instructor at Colorado Mountain College in Leadville, teaching in the Professional Fly Fishing Guide Certification Program. She is also a co-founder of several scholarships aimed at increasing female participation and expanding opportunities for women in the industry.

Kaitlin is passionate about creating a welcoming and supportive environment on the water, and enjoys teaching anglers of all backgrounds, experience levels, and walks of life. Whether working with first-time fly fishers or seasoned anglers, she brings patience, professionalism, and a genuine love of the sport to every trip.

Based in Manitou Springs, Kaitlin lives with her husband, two children, and three dogs, and spends as much time as possible on the water.
