Its simple\, we provide all of the gear\, waders\, boots\, rods\, terminal tackle\, flies\, and even transportation! The pricing even includes a built in gratuity for your professional Guide. Again\, all ability levels are welcome and no experience is necessary. \nSpots for this trip are limited to 12 people per date. This is a walk/wade trip. \nMeeting location will be at Red Leg Brewing Company. We will leave Red Leg by 7:00 am sharp\, so be there a little early. From there we will assemble and head to the river (location TBD) The trip will be 4 hours on the water\, returning to Red Leg for lunch and drinks afterwards. If you are willing to brave the elements\, you will often be rewarded with whole stretches of river to yourself and large fish. However\, fly fishing in the winter can present some unique challenges. \nAnglers Covey Guides will take you through all of the tricks and tips with winter flyfishing. Gear\, entomology\, tactics\, rigging \, and locations will all be discussed at great lengths. \nThis is a 2 part class. Day 1 in the shop from 6:00-8;00 pm ( 12/19/2025\, 1/23/2026\, 2/20/2026)\, Day 2 is on the river of the instructors choice ( 12/20/2025\, 1/24/2026\, 2/21/2026) \nCost is 100.00 per student. \nStudents must have a basic understanding of fly fishing and knots. SUMMARY:301 In-Depth Nymphing classroom/streamside Class
DESCRIPTION:This class is an in-depth (pun intended) workshop on the dynamics of fishing the immature stages of aquatic insects. The focus is on nymphing and we will cover static indicator\, straight line\, and dropshot nymphing. Not only we will cover these styles of nymphing\, but there will be a heavy focus on proper line control techniques. Other subjects covered include equipment\, basic entomology\, leader systems\, reading water\, visualizing fish\, steam etiquette\, and how to properly play and release fish. This is a 2 part class that consists of a classroom and streamside session.\nSome fly fishing experience is preferred\, but we encourage beginners as well as experts to take this class.\nClassroom portion at 6:00PM at Angler’s Covey\nStreamside meets at the chosen location and begin at 8am. DESCRIPTION:When you have completed one of the three tracks (Orvis 101\, Discover Fly Fishing\, or Guided Instruction)\, you are well prepared for our Orvis 201 Class. \nThis is the best value and opportunity to see if your really hooked on Fly Fishing\nIf you’ve already completed A Fly Fishing 101 course\, or have some experience\, you’re ready for the next step.\nPut the content learned in the 101 to practical use on the river.\nJoin us for an outing on local trout water for a chance to catch your first fish! \nYour Orvis-endorsed Instructor will provide instruction at one of our local fisheries for your chance to put all that you have learned into practice on the water. While this is not a “guided trip\,” per se\, it is an opportunity to land your first fish while learning from the guide. \n*Class location varies from class to class. Class instructor will contact students 1-2 days prior to the class with location information. \n*CLASS TIMES 9AM AND 1 PM (May-September)   (9am only class October-April) \nAll equipment is provided. \nFishing license required. \n*If these dates do not work\, we can put together a private class for you and your group.
