Vance has been fishing almost his entire life. Growing up in South Carolina he spent most of his childhood fishing for bass and catfish with his grandfather and brother. While living around Buena Vista he took an interest in fly fishing, taking full advantage of the Arkansas river and surrounding areas. Since then, Vance has been fully immersed in fly fishing. He has been fortunate to have fished and guided many of Colorados prestigious waters like the Taylor, Eagle, South Platte and Arkansas. Before becoming a guide Vance was a chef for most of his life, so you can always expect a great lunch! Vance is now settled in Pueblo and spends a lot of time fishing the tailwater there.
