Our walk/wade guided trips explore so much of the best fishing the Arkansas River tailwater has to offer, but our guided float trips let you see even more of this legendary fishery! This full-day trip will have you covering significant distances and encountering a huge variety of conditions and fishing scenarios. You'll have many chances to get huge Rainbow, Cuttbow, and Brown Trout on your line as well as the occasional warm water species.
These full-day float trips come with everything you need to enjoy the day, from rod, reel, and tackle to your personal flotation device. We'll also provide lunch to keep you fueled up for more fishing.
Best of all, our Orvis-Endorsed fly fishing guides will be with you every step of the way! Well, there aren't many steps on a float fishing trip, but still. They can help you select and prepare your equipment, read the water, account for changing conditions, present your flies, and get bite after bite after bite.
The window for our float trips is small. These trips are solely dependent on the river flows and are not available year round. These trips do book out extremely quickly in the prime season (spring). Complete with all the gear you'll need and expert instruction from an Orvis-Endorsed guide, our float fishing trips offer a level of access to the Arkansas River that walk/wade trips just don't have. However, float season is limited, and conditions on the Arkansas River can change in an instant. Float season typically begins in May and includes personal flotation devices, lunch, and any gear you may require.
