Angler's Covey Guided Private Water Fly Fishing Trip

Colorado's wilderness is home to some of the best and most accessible fly fishing on the planet, most of which is on publicly owned land for everyone to enjoy! But when you want a mellow, no hassle experience just minutes from Colorado Springs, Angler's Covey provides access to private waters and a fishing experience second to none. Private waters deliver solitude any day of the year and increase the chances for that trophy fish. We offer guided fly fishing trips with access to five different world-class fishing spots on private lands: Puma Hills River Ranch, The Abell River Ranch, Santa Maria Ranch, Rainbow Falls Mountain Trout, Rawhide Ranch, and Shawnee Ranch.

Rod fees for these properties are in addition to the guided trip fee. These are "Trespass Fees" set forth by the landowners.

Puma Hills River Ranch is our newest property and is located in the beautiful Tarryall valley. This piece of water has been long coveted by area locals and is a must see in our area. Located about 1 hour west of Colorado Springs, its also one of our closest stretches of private water. There is 2 1/2 miles of river and it would be extremely hard to fish all of it in a full day. In fact, most of our guests book at least 2 days here so they can fish the entire stretch. The access is extremely easy and the river holds great populations of rainbow and brown trout. Complete solitude and great fishing will be the typical experience at Puma Hills River Ranch.

The Abell River Ranch is located on the gold medal fishing waters of the South Platte river. Just an hour from Colorado Springs in Lake George, Colorado, The Abell River Ranch features diverse conditions from long riffles and undercut banks to deep pools and gentle currents. Ideal for beginners and expert anglers alike, The Abell River Ranch is home to natural Brown, Rainbow, Cutbow and Cutthroat Trout populations. The spring, summer, and fall dry fly fishing is fantastic here.

Santa Maria Ranch in South Park, Colorado is just over an hour away from Colorado Springs, and offers stunning vistas and long, meandering runs ideal for beginners and experts alike. You'll find great populations of wild of Brown, Brook, Rainbow and Cutbow Trout here. There are even certain times of the year where very large fish inhabit the system. This is a great location mid summer for throwing dry flies. This location books out very fast and we recommend booking MONTHS in advance.

Rainbow Falls Mountain Trout is less than an hour from downtown Colorado Springs and ideal for anglers just starting to get their feet wet. The still waters of these lakes provide the perfect conditions to kick-start your fly fishing journey or a magnificent and laid-back fishing experience. Here, our Orvis-Endorsed guides will help you learn all of the tactics and techniques in conquering large trout.

Rawhide Ranch is one of our newest private water options. Rawhide is on the North Fork of the South Platte and affords ample opportunity at 3-10 lb trout. Located about 1.5 hours from Colorado Springs and 1 hour from Denver, the Rawhide is a great nearby option to fish for trophy trout. We are the only outfitter in the area with exclusive access to Rawhide. Trips here book out extremely fast.

Shawnee Meadows is our other property on the North Fork. Like Rawhide, it is located 1 hour from downtown Denver and 1.5 hours from Colorado Springs. The recently restored stream is an absolute haven for trophy trout and holds a wealth of healthy 3-10 pound fish. If you are looking for easy access, solitude, and the chance at trophy trout, this is a great choice! We are the only outfitter in the area with exclusive access to Rawhide. Trips here book out extremely fast.
