"Hopper" Juan Ramirez is a full-time fly fishing guide on the South Platte and Arkansas Rivers in Colorado. He has spent the last 6 years guiding full time, learning almost every inch of both rivers. Juan is also an accomplished fly tier and is well known for his small, technical flies used to fool the smart fish in Colorado tailwaters. When not guiding and during the winters, Juan is tying flies at local fly fishing shows, tying demos, or conducting tying classes at Angler’s Covey. He is a pro team member of Loon, Regal Fly Tying Vises, Daiichi Hooks, Semperfli Tying Materials, and is a signature fly designer for Montana Fly Company.
