Hi all!
It is the time of year when we get to start bringing the fly rod to work! North Cat is open again.
The Pikes Peak Reservoirs are open to the public 7am to 7pm.
The fishing is amazing during this part of the year. These fish have not seen anglers in almost 5 months.
To learn more about fishing on Pikes Peak go to our homepage and click on the “Where to Go” tab. Navigate to the Pikes Peak region then scroll down until you find North or South Catamount. This link is full of helpful information about many destinations in Colorado. This site will give you directions, weather and flow conditions (where applicable).
You can also visit springsgov.com to find out all the latest info about the Pikes Peak Highway.
On a personal note. One of our infamous staff members just wrote an amazing article about North Catamount in the “Out There Colorado” section of The Gazette last week. Jon Kleis writes many articles for the Gazette and he is a very accomplished fly fisherman. His techniques work very well on North Catamount.
