More from Pueblo Reservoir

Steve Gossage reports from the field:  “I guided in Pueblo yesterday. We stayed lower (around the nature center). It
was good in the morning…..but got tough later in the day. I would recommend going up higher towards the dam if you head to the Pueblo tailwaters. I think the water temps are a couple degrees cooler up there and that difference is all it takes sometimes to change a good day into a great day!

Best flies in the morning were a size 20 mercury RS2, size 18 rainbow warrior (pearl), size 14 pink HB Pheasant tail.

If you tie your own I would strongly suggest using an extra heavy hook…..we had four fish straighten our hooks yesterday!”
