The Big Thompson
Even though it is up the road a piece … the Big Thompson in and near Rocky Mountain National Park is fishing really well right now. The flow is at 144 cfs and has been stepped down some which means that bugs are popping downstream. Fish are taking caddis in the evening but have a nymph rig set up, too. People have been reporting good luck with emergers on a long leader and baetis and midge hatches. People travel from all over the world to check out RMNP — so why not take a drive for some great fishing right now!
