Hoppers and Ants in August
What do some of our guides and friends suggest about fishing in August? David Caraghar likes to start fishing in the afternoon after 3 pm and fish until dusk. Think Hoppers and Amy’s ant. As the days wears on, he looks for the Caddis to start flying. The crowds have have left for the day, so find a nice long stretch and jump in and work your way up stream. He carries something different in his fly box “just to keep the fish off guard.” One of his favorites? The Yellow Humpy and don’t forget a Royal PMX.
