Fly Tyers Needed!

The Cheyenne Mountain Chapter of Trout Unlimited  will be starting fly tying classes at Colorado College this Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. in a classroom in the lower level of the student center. We desperately need instructors!   You can volunteer to teach one class or all classes.

CMCTU will provide student kits and all materials needed for each class. We have about 20 student tying kits and classes are expected to be full. The more instructors we have, the fewer students each must handle.

The following classes are available and are in need of additional instructors:

Tuesday April 2
Wednesday April 10
Wednesday April 23
Tuesday April 30
Tuesday May 7 (final class, with pizza and student awards!)

This will be a beginner class:  basic tying instruction, wooly bugger, pheasant tail and gold ribbed hare’s ear, caddis larva and elk hair caddis, Griffith’s Gnat and Blue Wing Olive.

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact me at sam_humpert@yahoo.com or 719-661-2831

Remember, someone taught you to tie flies, now you can teach someone else!
