Women’s Rocky Mountain Fly Fishing Retreat
You can hear the excitement in Becky Leinweber’s voice when she describes the upcoming Women’s Rocky Mountain Fly Fishing Retreat. “We want to offer something different to women other than strictly a fly fishing camp.” It’s safe to say that the 4-day, 3-night retreat, June 20-June 23, will certainly be a unique experience for women wanting a rejuvenating escape to nature.
For starters, the Retreat will offer something very rarely experienced in fly fishing destination trips: a one-to-one guide for more personal attention. “Regardless of where the woman is in her fly fishing skills, the guide will focus on making her experience personalized to her needs.”
The Retreat will include two full days on private waters for the fly fishing adventures. A hot lunch on Friday and Saturday, prepared streamside, will provide the fuel for afternoon fishing.
But this is more than a great opportunity to hone fly fishing skills with an Orvis-endorsed Guide.
One of the co-hosts and guides, Rachel Leinweber, says this is a chance to “be pampered and re-charge.” Becky adds that the experience will have spa-type touches that you “might expect in a luxury retreat.” The wonderful cabins at Mountain River Lodge in Lake George, Colorado, will be your refuge from the day-to-day pressures back home. Mountain River Lodge overlooks the South Platte River, and the attentive staff is committed to making the anglers’ stay comfortable and luxurious.
Imagine a weekend escape like this:
- wine and hors d’oeuvres the night of your arrival
- an evening massage in the privacy of your room
- unique Colorado cuisine for dinner with offerings from locally sourced farms and ranches
- the chance to hike on the 110-acre private Wild Canyon Ranch
- yoga, a Japanese soaking tub, and a celebratory dinner Saturday night
- Sunday’s farewell breakfast with champagne and mimosas!
Now, stop imagining and make it a reality!
To capture the weekend, Gaylon Wampler, an award-winning Colorado-based photographer specializing in outdoor photography, will be taking photographs throughout the weekend. Participants will leave with a beautiful image to preserve their memories of the Retreat.
