Fly Tying 301 Blessing and Ramirez

Two of the premiere guides in Colorado (and beyond) will be teaching our 301 Fly Tying classes to wrap up the month of February.  Greg Blessing (https://www.facebook.com/gregory.blessing.7) and Juan Ramirez (http://hopperjuan.blogspot.com) are well-known around these parts – and so are their fly patterns.  In fact, both are featured in Pat Dorsey’s newest book, Colorado Guide Flies (available at the shop!).

Greg will be tying and teaching on February 17 and February 24.  His February 17 class will feature six midge patterns:  Cream Cheese, Black Rubber Midge, Soap Creek Midge, Purple Haze, Para Midge, and the Midge Cluster.

On February 24, Greg will focus on mayfly and caddis patterns.  The “menu” for that night includes CDC Biot Baetis, Black Male Trico Dun, Spent-wing Trico, Para Hi-vis Caddis, Two-tone San Juan Worm, Two-tone gray& tan Ray Charles.

On February 19 and February 26, Juan Ramirez will take over the vise.  February 19th Juan will focus on tying parachute patterns.  February 26, Juan will be tying patterns using foam.  If you’ve ever fished with his Hopper Juan pattern, you know that these patterns are killer.  Why not learn from one of the best?

All classes are at the Angler’s Covey.  They’ll run from 6:15 – 8:15 pm.  Cost of the classes include all materials – and, oh yeah, top-shelf instruction.

Space is limited and these classes fill up quickly.  You’ll want to get these classes into your schedule and get these patterns into your box before spring fishing gets hot!
